RE
At St.Werburgh’s we want our pupils to be celebrate ‘life in all its fullness’.
We have designed our Religious Education Curriculum to offer exciting and stimulating learning opportunities that will enthuse pupils to flourish in their spirituality and promote respect and open-mindness towards different faiths and beliefs. Our curriculum enables pupils to explore their curiosities about different religions and cultures and develop their independence as they develop as confident ambassadors and leaders of British Values. We encourage high aspirations and personal resilience, embracing and exploring their own beliefs (religious or non-religious). Pupils examine issues of religious beliefs and faiths and have the opportunity to express their responses and points of view. As an academic subject, we are setting high expectations where the pupils can develop an understanding and appreciation for different beliefs, cultural practices and the influences of religious worldviews.
